Read This First If You Are Facing a Charge

This is a criminal defense firm, so anything you send is sensitive by nature. Two things you should know before you type anything into this website.

A web form is not a confidential channel. Information you submit before Austin has agreed to represent you may not be protected by attorney-client privilege. Keep the form short. Name, a number to reach you, the county. Save the details for a phone call.

Patriot Law never sells or shares your information for marketing. Not to advertisers, not to lead brokers, not to other firms. That is not a policy that will change quietly. It is the point.

The Details

What This Site Collects

Two kinds of information. What you deliberately give through the contact form, and what a website automatically records about visits, which is standard for any site on the internet.

Information collected through patriotlawtn.com
WhatHow it is collectedWhy
Name, phone, email You enter it in the contact form So Austin can call you back
County and charge type You select it in the contact form To route and prioritize the request
Court date and description You enter it, both optional To know how urgent the matter is
IP address, browser, device Automatically, by the web server Security, spam prevention, error logs
Pages visited and time on site Automatically, by analytics To see which pages actually help people
Cookies Automatically, by the site and analytics Site function and visit measurement

This website does not ask for anything sensitive. No date of birth, no Social Security number, no financial account information, no documents. If a page or email ever appears to ask you for those through the site, it did not come from Patriot Law.

Be Honest About This

Who Else Handles This Data

Running a website means using service providers, and they necessarily touch some of this information. They process it on Patriot Law's behalf. None of them are permitted to use it for their own marketing.

The web host stores the site and its database, which is where contact form submissions are saved. The form software captures the submission and emails it to the firm. The email provider carries that message. Analytics records anonymous visit data. If you leave a review on a third-party platform such as Google, that platform has its own privacy policy and Patriot Law does not control it.

This site does not run advertising pixels that follow you around the internet, and Patriot Law does not operate a retargeting program from it.

Retention

How Long It Is Kept

If you become a client, your information becomes part of your client file and is kept and protected under the rules that govern attorney files in Tennessee, which require retention well beyond the end of a case.

If you do not become a client, the inquiry is kept only as long as it is useful for conflict checking and for answering questions about what was said, then deleted. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner.

Server logs and analytics data roll off on their own schedules, generally measured in months rather than years.

What You Can Ask For

Your Choices

Ask What Is Held

Call or email and ask what information is held from your contact through this website. You will be told.

Ask to Have It Deleted

If you are not a client, ask and the inquiry will be deleted. If you are a client, file retention rules apply and Patriot Law will explain what those require.

Turn Off Cookies

Your browser can block or clear cookies. The site works without them, though some conveniences stop working.

Two More Things

Children and Changes to This Policy

This website is intended for adults. Patriot Law does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has submitted information here, contact the firm and it will be deleted.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to information already collected.

Areas Served

Where Austin Practices

Each county page covers the court structure, the specialty courts and the local rules of that county. Each city page covers which court actually has your case, how far away it is, and what that city's own court can and cannot do. The areas served page lays all of it out in one place. If your city is not listed, call anyway — these are the places Austin appears most often, not the limits of where he goes.
